WEST POINT, N.Y. (Gray DC) - President Donald Trump gave the commencement speech at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point on Saturday.

“I can proudly say mission accomplished, great job,” Trump told the class of 2025.

There were lots of cheers and applause throughout the speech as Trump heaped praise on individual and group accomplishments.

“West Point has been anything but easy,” he said.

Trump took small jabs at his political opponents, including former President Barack Obama. He propped up his own White House achievements in the process. He also doubled down on his plans to build the “Golden Dome” missile defense system that would protect the homeland from intercontinental ballistic missiles.

“The military’s job is to dominate and foe, and annihilate any threat to America anywhere, anytime and anyplace,” Trump said to the graduating cadets.

In addition to Trump’s speech Saturday, Vice President JD Vance spoke at the U.S. Naval Academy’s commencement ceremony in Annapolis on Friday, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem spoke to the graduating class of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut on Wednesday. US. Air Force Secretary Troy E. Meink is set to address the U.S. Air Force Academy’s newest graduates in its commencement ceremony May 29 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
