1 man killed, 2 injured at 55th and Troost in shooting believed to be result of argument
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Police are searching for a suspect believed to have shot and killed one person and injured two Saturday evening.
At 9:30 p.m. on May 24, the Kansas City Police Department was dispatched to E 55th Street and Troost Avenue on reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found evidence of a shooting in a business parking lot, but the victims had already left to get help at a nearby hospital. Two of the victims, a man and a woman, had non-life-threatening injuries. The third, however, was a man who died of his injuries at the hospital. His identity has not yet been released.
KD believes an argument in the parking lot escalated into gunfire. The suspect is believed to have run from the scene and is not in custody at this time.
