KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The Kansas City Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run crash involving two cars and a pedestrian.

Just after midnight on May 25, officers were dispatched to Linwood Boulevard and Campbell Street. There, they found a pedestrian who had been hit by two cars in the middle of Linwood.

According to KD’s preliminary investigation, the first car was a gray Toyota headed east, and the second was a dark-colored Jeep that hit the pedestrian as he lay in the westbound lanes and kept driving.

The pedestrian was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. His identity was not released.

A similar incident occurred in Blue Springs less than a day prior, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.
