TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD/Gray News) - An apparent explosion at a gas station in Arizona was caught on camera Friday.

The Tucson Fire Department released video of the incident, which took place at an old AM/PM gas station near Country Club and 22nd Street.

There were no injuries in an apparent explosion following a two-alarm fire at an abandoned gas station in Tucson on Friday, May 23.

The fire department said it was called to the location around 3:30 p.m.

A fire engine arrived within six minutes.

As crews battled the fire, officials said the roof of the building collapsed. Fortunately, no one was injured.

As they fought the fire, excavators were called in to tear down parts of the building so firefighters could get to the hot spots.

“This video highlights the dangers our crews face every time they battle a fire, and we are thankful that everyone is safe,” the fire department said in a release.

The intersection of 22nd and Country Club had been closed due to the fire.
