First Warn Forecast: First Warn for rainy Memorial Day, chance for showers through Tuesday
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Welcome to day four of our active weather pattern. Today promises to be our coolest, a top-five contender for Memorial Day chilliness. Looking ahead to tomorrow, it will only be slightly milder with scattered light showers possible at any time of the day. Finally, after five consecutive days, we expect no rain on Wednesday. Enjoy conditions that will remind you of spring with sunshine, low humidity and highs near 70°.
There’s a bump in the road on Thursday as we travel towards summer weekend weather. This pause looks to bring us a chance for showers and storms. Not completely sold on this, but something to keep an eye on.
Sunshine returns Friday and hangs around through the weekend. Highs warm from the mid-70s to the lower to mid-80s.

MONDAY: FIRST WARN for light to moderate rain until 9 p.m.
Rain moves slowly north today. You can expect this shield of light rain to reach the K with light rain during the Royals game. No lightning to severe weather to deal with. In the past, MLB showed a great amount a patience before reacting to the rain with a delay or postponement. Expect the same today. Just be prepared to get a little wet. Rainfall amounts generally fall between .10″ to .25″. Isolated higher amounts are possible under the moderate showers.
Highs struggle to reach the upper 50s to the lower 60s. This could be our fifth coolest Memorial Day! Breezy conditions, up to 25 mph, will make it feeler cooler at times.

TUESDAY: The entire day is peppered with scattered light showers. The 30% chance is more of a nuisance than impactful. Our sky remains mainly gray again, which keeps us up to 10° to 15° cooler than average, with highs in the mid-60s. Breezes relax to 10 mph.
WEDNESDAY: Our first completely dry day since last week. Partly cloudy and very spring-like with low humidity and highs near 70°
THURSDAY: We are tracking the potential for a stand-alone storm that presently produces a 30% chance for showers and storms. Not seeing any signs of severe weather at this time. Highs remain near 70°
FRIDAY – SUNDAY: Partly cloudy to mostly sunny with temperatures nearing average Friday to well above average by Sunday. Humidity levels may get a bit uncomfortable by Sunday.
