Investigation opens into Memorial Day shooting after 2 injured in Blue Springs
BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. (KCTV) - Police in Blue Springs are investigating a Memorial Day shooting that sent two adults to a nearby hospital with injuries.
The Blue Springs Police Department says that around 3:45 p.m. on Monday, May 26, emergency crews were called to the 1400 block of SW Martin Ave. with reports of a shooting.
When first responders arrived, they said they found two adults with gunshot wounds. Both were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment - one with minor injuries and the other with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
As of 3:45 p.m., law enforcement officials said they remain on scene to investigate. Anyone with information about the incident should report it to 816-228-0151. No further information has been released.
