Arrest made after spools of cable stolen from Bonner Springs Industrial Park
SHAWNEE, Kan. (KCTV) - The quick response and sharp observation of law enforcement officials have been credited for the early-morning arrest of a theft suspect.
The Shawnee, Kansas, Police Department says that around 5 a.m. on Monday, May 26, law enforcement officials were notified that a theft had occurred at a business in the Bonner Springs Industrial Park in the 4000 block of Powell Drive.
As emergency crews responded, they said they spotted the suspect vehicle, with two large spools of insulated cable in the back of an attached trailer, near K-7 and Clear Creek Parkway.
Investigators noted that after the driver was pulled over, they were taken into custody and the stolen property was quickly recovered. No further information has been released, including the suspect’s identity.
