Crash near 24 Highway, Sterling Avenue leads to serious injuries

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (KCTV) - Authorities in Independence are on the scene of a crash involving serious injuries.
The Independence Fire Department said firefighters were dispatched on a motor vehicle accident in the area of 24 Highway and Sterling Avenue.
Serious injuries were reported as a result of the crash, which happened at 3:55 p.m.
IFD asked residents to avoid the area if possible.
