MANHATTAN, Kan. (KCTV) - One of the top guards in college basketball will be a Kansas State Wildcat next season.

Memphis transfer guard PJ Haggerty committed to K-State on Monday, according to several reports.

Haggerty was a consensus All-American during the 2024-25 college basketball season while starring at Memphis. He averaged 21.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game as a junior.

K-State will be the fourth school the Crosby, Texas, native has played at in his four seasons of college basketball. He began his career at TCU and transferred to Tulsa for his sophomore season before ing the Tigers as a junior.

During his two seasons in the American Athletic Conference with Tulsa and Memphis, the 6-foot-3 guard was a two-time All-AAC selection and in 2024-25 was named the AAC Player of the Year.

He s a K-State team that lost point guard Dug McDaniel to Memphis when he announced his plans to enter the transfer portal earlier this offseason.

Haggerty had entered the NBA Draft but pulled his name out and transferred to K-State instead following the NBA Draft Combine.
