Missouri woman injured after hitting cow in middle of country road

PETTIS COUNTY, Mo. (KCTV) - The Missouri State Highway Patrol was called to a crash in rural Pettis County on Monday involving a car and a cow.

Around 9:50 p.m. on May 26, troopers were called to Route T in Malta Bend, Missouri.

A 48-year-old Sweet Springs, Missouri, woman was driving south when she hit a cow that was standing in the road. Her 2007 Nissan Murano went off the right side of the road and stopped partially in the ditch.

The woman was wearing a seatbelt and had only minor injuries, which she refused treatment for. Her car was moderately damaged and was towed from the scene.

The cow’s condition was not noted in the report.
