Pockets of drizzle to light rain today
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Our big story centers around our storm track lingering for several more days. That means unsettled weather remains scattered in the forecast through this weekend. The good news is that the storms will weaken, and we will see breaks between them. The chance and impact for us remains low, between 20% to 30%.
Our weekend features a touch of summer with just a bit of humidity. We will introduce a slight chance for storms Saturday.
TODAY: Cloudy and cool with highs in the middle 60s, 10° to 15° cooler than average. Pockets of drizzle to light showers redevelop late this afternoon, lingering into the evening. Rainfall amounts will be light, less than .10″. If you’re watching the radar today, it will look more impressive than the rain reaching the ground. A sneaky east-northeast breeze slips a dry layer underneath the clouds.

WEDNESDAY: The stubborn cloud deck breaks for scattered sunshine from time to time. Cannot call the day completely dry, though. New this morning is a 20% chance for isolated evening showers. Slightly milder highs near 70°.
THURSDAY: Our next chance for showers and thunderstorms. The timing favors the morning while holding on to a slight chance during the afternoon and evening. Not seeing any indication for severe storms. Highs remain near 70°.
FRIDAY: Partly sunny and pleasant with low humidity and highs in the middle to upper 70s.
SATURDAY: New to the forecast is a 30% chance for thunderstorms. Something to monitor, but not a game changer for your Saturday plans. Slightly more humidity and warmth, lower 80s.
SUNDAY: Quiet weather returns under a mostly sunny sky with building warmth and humidity, feels more like summer.
