Royals option Sisk to Omaha, swapping relievers on Major League roster

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The Kansas City Royals have swapped a pair of relievers between Triple-A and the Major League club, the organization announced Wednesday.
Left-handed reliever Evan Sisk was optioned to Triple-A Omaha and right-handed pitcher Andrew Hoffmann was selected to the Major League roster.
The move came after Sisk appeared out of the bullpen for Kansas City in both Monday and Tuesday’s games against the Cincinnati Reds.
Sisk, a 28-year-old from Chester, South Carolina, had a 1.69 ERA in five appearances with the Royals in 2025.
Hoffmann, a 25-year-old reliever who the Atlanta Braves drafted in the 12th round of the 2021 MLB Draft, has a 2-2 record and 2.84 ERA in 25.1 innings of work for the Storm Chasers this season. In 19 games, Hoffmann has 37 strikeouts and a 1.34 WHIP.
If he were to appear in a game in Kansas City, Hoffmann would become the 19th pitcher to appear for the Royals this season.
