Wyandotte County distribution center laying off dozens of employees

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) - A Kansas City-area distribution center notified employees that it plans to layoff 77 employees and close the facilities.

Veyer, LLC filed a notice of its intent with the state of Kansas May 16. Companies with at least 100 full-time employees are required to give workers 60 days notice of mass layoffs.

The facility is located near Interstate 435 and Kaw Drive in Edwardsville.

The company is a subsidiary of The ODP Corp., which also owns Office Depot.

According to its website, Veyer is a supply chain and distribution company that helps businesses optimize and reduce costs. It operates more than 40 facilities across the country.

The facility will close July 18, 2025.
