KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The rain moves out tonight, making way for a spectacular day Friday. The weather has been cooler than normal for 11 straight days in Kansas City, and this trend is about to come to an end. Friday will be near-normal, but the weekend finally brings the poolside heat many have been waiting for.

FRIDAY: A FANTASTIC day! Cool low 50s in the morning with warmer upper 70s for the afternoon. Sunny most of the day with light northwest winds at 5-10 mph.

THE WEEKEND: Feeling summery with highs in the mid-80s and slowly increasing humidity. Mostly sunny, though each day does have a slim 20% chance for a brief shower. Winds remain light.

NEXT WEEK: Dry for Monday with 80s continuing, then FIRST WARNS for Tuesday and Wednesday as storm chances rise. Tuesday is the better chance, and a few storms may be strong to severe. Tuesday will also be windy with south gusts to 35 mph.
