Spotty pop-up rain with cool conditions today

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - It’s feeling cool and gloomy the rest of the day. Plus, don’t put the rain gear away just yet, spotty pop-up showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible for the rest of the day.

The showers and rumbles will likely move south slowly. If you are caught under one you may see a little helping of rainfall (maybe an extra .10″ or 0.25″). The high will struggle today due to clouds and rain and only hit around 69°.

FRIDAY: We dry out for the end of the work week. Friday will be mostly sunny and much warmer. Highs reach around 78°.

WEEKEND: The weekend will feel like summer once again with highs in the low to mid-80s. Mostly sunny skies are expected both days, with some clouds and a 20% chance for rain.

NEXT WEEK: Monday will be the hottest day of the next 7, reaching around 86°.

Another active pattern Tuesday through Wednesday. First Warns are in place for scattered rain and thunderstorms. Right now, Tuesday looks wetter than Wednesday.
