Art in the Loop ready to launch 12th season project for all arts, theme of Wonder
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Art in the Loop is kicking off another season of visual and performing arts as KC Streetcar and Art in the Loop launch the 2025 project, Wonder.
The celebration begins on June 5 at 5:30 p.m. at the Kansas City Public Library Central Library.
The event begins with a performance by Monarch Duo, followed by a dance from Kathak Aura and a live painting by Olivia Michka.
The following is the list of visual artists and art installations along the KC Streetcar lines:

- Metro Center Northbound Streetcar Stop, 12th and Main
- David Morris, Music is Community
- Kauffman Center Southbound Streetcar Stop, 16th and Main
The 2025 Art in the Loop project features artists presenting free public performances. The full schedule can be viewed below:

- Art Walk and Ride on June 25 at 5:30 p.m.
- On Board the KC Streetcar on July 16 at 6 p.m.

- 816 Day on August 16 at 6 p.m. at the City Market
- Myself Embodied, True Lions, Jass
- Oppenstein Park on September 11 at 5:30 p.m. at the Oppenstein Brothers Memorial Park
- The Swallowtails, Unique Sixteen, EleveN2wenty2
- Closing Reception on October 2 at 5:30 p.m. at the Kansas City Public Library - Central Library
- David Luther, Firetale Theatre
Art in the Loop is in its 12th year, and performers showcase works inspired by the theme Wonder.
Artists are selected through a competitive process open to all artists in the greater Kansas City area.
75 applicants auditioned or submitted works, and adjudicators selected 21 artists.
