Cucumber recall expands to 17 more products over salmonella concerns
(CNN) - A recall linked to cucumbers from Bedner Growers, Inc. has expanded.
The Coastal Companies says the recall covers 17 products made from Bedner Growers, Inc. cucumbers and distributed by Fresh Start Produce Sales, Inc.
The recall is over the potential for salmonella contamination.
The items on the recall list from The Coastal Companies include packages of fresh salsa and certain salads, including chicken, egg and tuna salad.
The Food and Drug istration says the products were sent to several states and Washington, D.C. earlier this month.
So far, no related illnesses have been reported.
Officials say consumers and retailers should discard the foods immediately.

More than two dozen people were reported sick from the original cucumber recall.
