FIRST WARN FORECAST: Summery heat this weekend, First Warn for severe chance next week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - We have a fantastic weekend on deck, with the warm and sunny weather many of us were hoping for last weekend. Highs will be the warmest we’ve had in over two weeks, and it will come with lots of sunshine. New information is in for Saturday that points to a slightly higher chance for spotty storms after 7 pm. They may stay south and west of the metro, but some of us are likely to catch some evening downpours. We are also looking past the weekend to next Tuesday as stormy weather returns. We are First Warning you that Tuesday could bring severe storms and Wednesday may continue the wet weather.

SATURDAY: Morning temperatures in the 60s warm to the mid-80s for the afternoon. Sunny with west winds at 5-10 mph. A 30% chance for storms from 7 to 11 pm.

SUNDAY: Sunny and warm with highs in the mid-80s and light northwest winds at 5-10 mph.

NEXT WEEK: FIRST WARN Tuesday & Wednesday - Monday is dry and hot with upper 80s, but Tuesday brings a likely chance for rain in the afternoon and evening. A Level 2/5 severe risk is just west of Kansas City, but we should expect that to expand over more of the area as we get closer. Wednesday may be wet in the morning, then again Wednesday night. Overall 1-3″ of rain is currently expected.
