Pool weather arrives for a summer-like end to the week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - It’s time to hit the pools! Today will be very nice with sunshine and temperatures in the upper 70s. We continue to warm over the weekend, but rain and storm chances return with First Warns Tuesday & Wednesday.
We warm up quickly into the low 70s by noon, but some smoke and haze may move into the area from the north. The smoke and haze will likely hangout throughout the remainder of the day. High temperatures reach around 78°.
WEEKEND: The weekend grows even warmer. We haven’t felt temperatures this warm in two weeks! High temperatures for both days are in the mid-80s. Morning temperatures will be in the low 60s. Sunshine is expected, but a few clouds and a 20% chance for a pop-up shower are possible after 5 p.m. to around 10 pm. Smokey and hazy conditions may linger on Saturday. Get out and enjoy the pools!
MONDAY: Monday remains toasty in the mid-80s, however, we will see a surge in humidity ahead of the First Warns on Tuesday & Wednesday.
TUESDAY/WEDNESDAY: Tuesday has a First Warn in place for scattered to widespread rain and storms. We do have the threats for strong to severe storms with a level 2/5 risk highlighted in our western counties. Hail, damaging winds, and heavy rain are the primary threats. The tornado threat is low. Rain and storms push east through the overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning. A First Warn is also in place for Wednesday morning with a high in the mid-70s.
