Woman accused of felony after allegedly flashing, defecating in front of children
DEEPWATER, Mo. (KCTV) - A Missouri woman is behind bars after she was accused of intentionally flashing a group of prepubescent boys before defecating along the side of a Deepwater roadway.
Henry County, Missouri, Circuit Court records filed on Thursday, May 29, indicate that Stephanie L. Richardson, 56, of Deepwater, has been charged with a felony after she allegedly intentionally flashed her genitals at a 12-year-old.
A probable cause statement filed by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office revealed that around 8:35 p.m. on Wednesday, law enforcement officials were called to an area of 6th St. in Deepwater with reports of a disturbance.
When first responders arrived, they said they found witnesses who reported a woman later identified as Richardson had exposed her breasts, buttocks, and genitalia in the presence of pre-pubescent boys. She continued to yell as she defecated and urinated on the side of the road.
Investigators noted that several personal items were left behind at the scene by Richardson. A video from one of the witnesses recorded her statements, which allegedly made it clear she intentionally flashed a 12-year-old.
As a result, Richardson has been charged with sexual misconduct involving a child and peace disturbance. If convicted, she could be sentenced to up to 4 years and 6 months behind bars and ordered to pay a fine of up to $11,000. She would also be subject to lifetime supervision.
Court documents indicated that a warrant was issued for Richardson’s arrest on Thursday with the condition of a $10,000 bond. As of Friday afternoon, she remains behind bars. A court appearance has been set for 9 a.m. on Friday, June 6, with a bond reduction hearing to follow at 10 a.m.
