Airborne motorcycle crash leaves 1 man dead, 1 woman injured

JACKSON COUNTY, Mo. (KCTV) - Saturday night, the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a motorcycle crash on a stretch of rural Jackson County highway.

A report states that the crash happened around 7 p.m. on May 31.

MSHP said a Kingsville man, 66, was driving his Harley-Davidson Street Glide south on Highway F with an Odessa woman, 54, as his enger when he went off the side of the road. The motorcycle was briefly airborne before hitting a ditch and rolling.

The driver was pronounced dead at a Lee’s Summit hospital. His enger was taken to Centerpoint Medical Center with moderate injuries. Neither was reported to be wearing safety gear.

The motorcycle was totaled in the crash.
