LIVE OAK, Texas (KSAT) - A Texas woman wants justice for her husband of 55 years, who was killed in a drive-by shooting. Weeks after his death, police are still searching for the alleged shooter.

Coleman Joshlin, 79, and his wife, Beverly, were married for 55 years. She says she was in shock after learning what happened to him.

“He fought in the military, and he gave so much. For him to lose his life like this, it’s just really frustrating,” Beverly Joshlin said.

Coleman Joshlin was on his way to get dinner about 6 p.m. May 14 when he was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting. The incident happened at the intersection of Pat Booker Road and the Interstate 35 South frontage road in Live Oak.

Police say someone fired multiple times into Coleman Joshlin’s Mazda Miata. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

“The police came and said that he was in the hospital. I thought maybe he was just hurt or something. I never imagined this,” Beverly Joshlin said.

Investigators are still searching for the alleged shooter, who was in a silver/gray Chevrolet four-door truck. Beverly Joshlin is urging anyone with information about her husband’s death to come forward.

“Please come forward. I miss him so much,” she said. “We’ve been married so long. He was there all the time. All the time.”

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for anyone who can help identify and arrest the suspect. Those with information are urged to call the organization at 210-224-7867 (STOP), text Tip 127 plus the tip to CRIMES (274637) or submit tips through their website or P3 Tips app.
