19-year-old thrown from motorcycle after brakes lock up on I-635

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) - The Kansas Highway Patrol says a motorcyclist was injured Monday morning when his brakes locked up while he was driving.

According to a report, a 19-year-old from Kansas City, Kansas, was driving north on Interstate 635 around 8 a.m. on June 2. Just after ing Strong Avenue, the front brakes on the driver’s Kawasaki motorcycle locked up, throwing him from the bike.

KHP noted that the motorcyclist was wearing a full face helmet and is believed to have suffered only minor injuries. He was taken to AdventHealth Hospital for treatment.
