Eight units damaged in late night fire at Kansas City apartment complex

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Eight of ten units were damaged in an apartment fire on June 1.

Kansas City Fire Department (KCFD) responded to an apartment in the 11500 block of Holmes at 9:16 p.m.

Crews reported smoke and fire from a two-story apartment complex.

One resident was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation for non-fire-related issues. One firefighter was treated on scene for heat-related issues.

The Red Cross has been ordered to help along with dangerous buildings.
