MSHP: Independence woman dies after being hit by car on I-35

LIBERTY, Mo. (KCTV) - A woman died late Saturday night after she was hit by a car on a Missouri interstate.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene at 10:38 p.m. on May 31.
Troopers learned a Kansas City, Missouri, woman was driving south on Interstate 35 north of Liberty when a pedestrian walked onto the road and was hit. The pedestrian, a 46-year-old Independence woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s identity has not been released, but MSHP said her next of kin was notified.
