Leavenworth woman awaits sentencing after using Facebook Messenger to harass, threaten man
LEAVENWORTH, Kan. (KCTV) - A Leavenworth woman who used Facebook Messenger to harass a man has pleaded no contest to charges and will await sentencing next month.
Court documents in Leavenworth County said 44-year-old Miranda R. Spurling will be sentenced July 2, 2025, for charges of interference with a law enforcement officer and harassment by telecommunication device.
Spurling’s charges stemmed from an incident on Feb. 22, 2025, in which Leavenworth Police responded to a home where a man told them he’d received threatening messages from her several times. The man told officers he’d blocked Spurling’s Facebook s four times but she continued to create new s to him.
In one message, investigators said Spurling told the man he “deserves a bullet between the eyes.”
