JOHNSON COUNTY, Mo. (KCTV) - A man will soon face sentencing for his role in an Overland Park woman’s death in late 2023.

According to the Johnson County District Attorney’s Office, Ahmad Mohammad Karraz, 22, pleaded guilty on June 3 to one count of distribution of drugs causing death and three counts of use of a communication facility during a drug felony.

His conviction stems from an investigation the Overland Park Police Department opened after 24-year-old Kylie Liston’s death.

According to Liston’s obituary, she died at home on Dec. 29, 2023.

In November 2024, a second person, Ronaley Arriola, 22, was named alongside Karraz. Arriola faced one count of use of a communication facility during a drug felony. There was no word on this case’s progress.

Karraz’s sentencing hearing is set for Aug. 20, 2025, at 1:30 p.m.
