(CNN) - A rare 19th-century condom is going on display at a museum in the Netherlands.

The Dutch National Museum in Amsterdam said it’s believed the condom was made from a sheep’s appendix.

The prophylactic has an erotic etching that features a nun and three clergymen. It dates back to 1830 and was likely a souvenir from a brothel.

Testing revealed it was not used and was said to be in mint condition.

The museum said it got the condom at an auction six months ago.

It will be on display through November as part of an exhibit on 19th-century prostitution and sexuality.
