FIRST WARN FORECAST: June showers possible Thursday, First Warn for Friday rain
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - We have more rain in the picture this week, but thankfully, we are not looking at a repeat of Tuesday’s severe storms and intense rainfall. This will be patchy on Thursday, but we are First Warning that it will be more widespread on Friday.
We also have reduced air quality due to smoke all the way from Canadian wildfires. This should improve by Thursday.
THURSDAY: Dry with upper 50s to start, but watch for patchy rain around lunch. The wet hours look to be 11 am to 1 pm, with the rest of the afternoon looking dry. Highs will hit the mid-70s, and winds will be light from the northeast at 5-10 mph.
FRIDAY: FIRST WARN - The morning may be quite wet along and south of I-70, but severe weather is not expected. The afternoon turns drier with highs in the mid-70s.
THE WEEKEND: Warmer with 80 on Saturday and a slim 20% rain chance (so most of us will remain dry and sunny). Sunday warms further to 83, but we are watching for scattered storms by 4 pm. The chance right now is 30%, but we are watching it closely for your weekend plans. Stick with us for all the updates.
