KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A bicyclist was pronounced dead after striking a tractor trailer Sunday afternoon.

The Kansas City Police Department was dispatched to the area of St. John and N. Topping at around 12:49 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, after a report of an injury accident.

Upon arrival, authorities determined that a bicyclist was traveling southbound on Topping against the one-way street and struck the side of an eastbound tractor trailer. The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

This is fatality 29 compared to 46 at this time last year.
