Man and woman taken to hospital after crash near Cameron

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A man and woman were taken to an area hospital to recover from injuries they sustained in a crash near Cameron.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol indicates that around 12:46 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, authorities were called to I-35 Southbound at mile marker 55 with reports of a two-vehicle crash.

The crash occurred when a Subaru Forrester struck a Toyota Avalon while going Southbound on I-35. The Subaru then travelled off of the roadway and overturned into the median. The Toyota came to a controlled stop on the shoulder.
Both the driver, an 81-year-old man, and the occupant, a 78-year-old woman, of the Toyota Avalon were taken to an area hospital. Drivers of both vehicles were reported to have been wearing their seatbelts.
Investigators said that both vehicles had extensive damage. No further information has been released.
