Woman walking on I-29 hit, killed by several cars

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A woman walking along Interstate 29 just after midnight June 8 was hit by several cars.

It happened at I-29 and NW Barry Rd. around 12:30 a.m.

Preliminary investigation shows the woman was walking on southbound I-29 for reasons unknown when she was hit by an SUV driving southbound on I-29.

The impact knocked her into two other lanes, where she was run over by two additional vehicles.

All vehicles stopped, and no one in the cars was hurt.

The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.

There were no signs of impairment by any of the drivers.
