Probationer accused of flashing genitals again, this time at Gladstone restaurant
GLADSTONE, Mo. (KCTV) - A man who seems to have made a habit of sexual misconduct has been charged again after he allegedly flashed his genitals to staff at a Gladstone Mexican restaurant.
Clay County, Missouri, Circuit Court records filed on Friday, June 6, indicate that Anthony J. Giambrone, 52, of Kansas City, has been charged with yet another count of sexual misconduct.
A probable cause statement filed by the Gladstone Police Department revealed that on Dec. 5, law enforcement officials were called to Tortilla Flats at 5716 N. Antioch Rd. with reports of a flasher. The restaurant has been permanently closed since the time the report was filed.
When they arrived, they found an employee who reported a male later identified as Giambrone had come in on several occasions and flashed his genitals to the staff. He allegedly sat at the bar and repeatedly pulled his shorts up so that his testicles were revealed.
Investigators noted that surveillance footage also showed Giambrone leave the restaurant with his testicles still exposed on at least one occasion. However, he was not arrested until a similar incident was reported on May 21.
During an interview with law enforcement officials, they said he itted he had been on supervised probation for the same behavior. As a result, he has been charged with misdemeanor sexual misconduct in the first degree. If convicted, he could spend up to a year behind bars and be ordered to pay a fine of up to $20,000.
Court records indicated that Giambrone faces another sexual misconduct charge in Clay County in an ongoing investigation. He previously pleaded guilty and spent 90 days behind bars for a third sexual misconduct charge in Platte County.
An initial appearance has been set in this case for 9 a.m. on July 1. As of Monday, June 9, he no longer appears behind bars as he has been bailed out of custody. No further information has been released.
