OLATHE, Kan. (KCTV) - An outdoor pop-up market planned in Olathe over the weekend promises dozens of vendors that are expected to offer handmade goods and more.

Art Garden KC has announced that local creativity will be celebrated at the Azura Summer Art Market between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, at Azura Outdoors, 11750 S. Fellows St.

Art Garden leaders noted that the free, family-friendly event will be hosted in partnership with Azura Credit Union. The outdoor pop-up market is expected to feature more than 30 local artists and makers to offer a variety of handmade goods.

Event organizers indicated that attendees are set to enjoy food trucks, bubbles and kid-friendly fun all day long. Free face painting will also be offered, courtesy of Azura Credit Union, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

“We love bringing pop-up art markets to new neighborhoods,” said Bethany Alzanadi, CEO and founder of Art Garden KC. “Events like this are a powerful reminder of why it’s so important to shop local. Every purchase s a real person—a small business owner—working hard to share their creativity with the community. We’re so thankful to Azura Credit Union for not only providing this beautiful space, but for truly investing in the growth of local makers and small businesses in the region.”

Leaders said Azura Outdoors is an open-air venue and community green space near Azura’s full-service office in Olathe. Meant to be a free resource for the public, the space features a covered stage, open lawn and a capacity for up to 150 guests.
