KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) -The summer surge of heat and humidity has finally arrived, bringing us the first day of 90-degree heat. The heat and humidity stick with us the rest of the week with low end rain chances each day.

We skyrocket into the mid-80s by lunch with the high hitting around 90° for the first time this summer. With the muggy conditions, it will feel more like 92 to 95°. The heat and humidity will give us a 20% chance for a pop-up shower or thunderstorm between 4 and 9 p.m.
