(Gray News) - More than a million power banks are being recalled due to overheating concerns.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, 1.1 million Anker PowerCore 10000 power banks are part of the recall.

The recall alert says the lithium-ion batteries can overheat, posing potential fire and burn hazards.

Anker representatives state that the company has received 19 reports of explosions and fires, resulting in a few minor injuries and property damage.

The recall specifically involves model A1263, which was sold online from 2016 to 2022.

Consumers have been advised to stop using the recalled power banks and to Anker to receive a free replacement.
