Odessa woman rushed to hospital after rollover ATV crash near Appleton City
APPLETON CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - An Odessa woman was rushed to a metro area hospital after she was injured during a rollover ATV collision east of Appleton City.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol indicates that just before 11:20 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, emergency crews were called to the area of Route A and 52 Highway, east of Appleton City, with reports of an ATV collision.
When first responders arrived, they said they found a 64-year-old Odessa woman had been driving a 2021 Zhejiang ATV south on the roadway when she veered off the left side for an unknown reason. The ATV flipped in the process.
Emergency crews noted that the ATV driver was taken to Centerpoint Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. She was not wearing a safety device at the time.
Investigators noted that the ATV sustained moderate damage as a result. No further information has been released.
