Kehoe announces his first international trade mission
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe will head to Europe next week for his first international trade mission since taking over the position.
On Friday, Kehoe’s office announced that the Governor and a Missouri delegation will travel to Paris, , from June 16-20. Kehoe’s trade mission will include meetings with businesses that have a presence in Missouri. It’ll also promote Missouri to companies with locations in in hopes of encouraging future investment.
“We’re looking forward to promoting the Show-Me State as the ideal place to invest during our first international trade mission,” Kehoe said. “Missouri’s economic strengths have already attracted major investments from leading companies across the globe. We look forward to strengthening existing business relationships while encouraging opportunities for further growth.”
Kehoe’s office said some of the businesses the Governor will meet with include leaders from Boeing, Leonardo DRS and Schneider Electric.
In 2024, was a key trade partner with Missouri, with $266 million in Missouri-made exports. More than 40 French companies are currently operating in Missouri, Kehoe’s office said.
While the Governor is in , Lieutenant Governor David Wasinger will serve as Acting Governor.
