Man sexually assaulted his daughter, which resulted in birth of 3 children, authorities say
RALEIGH COUNTY, W.Va. (WVVA/Gray News) - A West Virginia man is facing a litany of disturbing charges.
Forty-three-year-old Kenneth Ray Cook, of MacArthur, was jailed on allegations that he had a nonconsensual and incestuous relationship with his daughter, which resulted in the birth of three children.
Law enforcement officials say the three children were found to be suffering from neglect.
According to the indictment filed with the West Virginia Circuit Court, Cook’s criminal charges include 149 counts of gross neglect of a child, three counts of incest and multiple counts of sexual abuse or assault by a parent.
Cook is in custody at the Southern Regional Jail on a $500,000 bond, court documents show.
Cook is due back in court on June 24 for a formal arraignment.
