Fourth lawsuit filed after 3 men found dead in backyard of Kansas City home
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A fourth lawsuit is filed against two men charged in connection with drug-related deaths of three men in Kansas City’s Northland.
Norma Chester filed a lawsuit against Jordan Willis and Ivory Carson last week.

Chester is the mother of Ricky Johnson, one of the men police found at a Kansas City North home in January 2024. She filed the lawsuit on behalf of Johnson’s three children.
The lawsuit alleges Johnson and several other people were invited to the home to watch a Kansas City Chiefs game on Jan. 7, 2024. It goes on to say Johnson died after ingesting fentanyl and cocaine while at the home.
The filing accuses Willis and Ivory of providing fentanyl and cocaine to the other men.
Police found the bodies of the three men in the backyard two days later.
The lawsuit alleges Wilson and Ivory were negligent when they provided the illegal drugs and then failed to warn the men that the cocaine was laced with fentanyl.
The men also failed to help the three victims as they overdosed and died according to the lawsuit.
It goes on to say that Johnson could have recovered if help would have been called in time.
The lawsuit seeks damages including funeral expenses and a reasonable value for the loss of companionship, comfort, and the family suffered with Johnson’s death.
Johnson’s father is also suing Willis and Carson, as are the families of the other two men who died.

Willis and Carson are also charged with two counts of delivering a controlled substance and three counts of involuntary manslaughter. They have each pleaded not guilty to the charges.
