No arrests made in overnight shootings that left 4 injured, 1 dead
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Police are searching for the suspect behind two related shootings that injured four people and killed one.
The Kansas City Police Department said officers were dispatched to the area of E 35th Street and Prospect Avenue around 1:30 a.m. on June 14.
When officers arrived, witnesses pointed them to a gas station parking lot where three men and one woman had been shot. One man suffered critical injuries and two had non-life-threatening injuries, but KD said the woman died at the hospital. Her identity has not yet been released.
Another shooting was then reported in the 2000 block of East Linwood Boulevard and later determined to be related to the first. Police found a fifth victim, a man, and paramedics took him to an area hospital with critical injuries.
KD does not currently have anyone in custody. The shootings are under investigation as a homicide, and detectives are looking for anyone who might have seen or heard something.
